Research Analyst at CIFAS

Operating two large and complex databases, CIFAS relies heavily on statistical data extracted from them, together with data reported by our Members, to track and report on fraud and financial crime trends within the UK. Statistical reports and analyses are prepared to provide detailed management information which is used both internally in support of management decisions and made available to our Members to help tailor their fraud prevention processes. Reports are also published in support of our wider fraud prevention remit, with audiences that include our Members, the law enforcement community and national and international media.
Skills and qualities
You may be a recent graduate with a relevant degree, looking to build a career in this area or may be an analyst or statistician, already having gained relevant experience. Either way, you will have a proven interest in data analysis and statistics, backed up with IT skills that enable you to extract and present data sets and produce written reports based on the output. To be successful in this role, an underlying interest in fraud detection and prevention is essential.
