The Operations Division is responsible for the management and coordination of the core federal response teams in case of disasters, resources and programs needed to support the regions, interagency partners, state, local and tribal governments, voluntary organizations and disaster survivors affected by a major disaster or emergency, regardless of the cause. The Division achieves its mission by the Directorate for the Coordination of interventions, Support Branch field operations, and the Urban Search and Rescue Division.
REQUIREMENTS:
Relocation expenses will be authorized.
Required to work day/night shifts with the activation of the NRCC and staff
Deploy for prolong periods to the field.
Public Financial Disclosure (SF-278) within 30 days is required.
Designated and/or random drug testing may be required.
Holders, together with the Deputy Administrator, serves as a focal point through which the actions of program and project are effective central coordination and decision making. Participate fully in the Assistant Administrator in making resource decisions, establishing project priorities and planning and administering the full range of project management. Ensures that appropriate long-term planning and budgeting is coordinated and directed, and that there is effective and efficient use of available resources.
Direct and oversee the development and implementation of operational emergency policies, procedures and procedural guidance in support of FEMA and federal roles consistent with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) to reduce loss of life and property and to protect the nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other man-made disasters.
Salary: $119,554.00 - $179,700.00 /year
