The incumbent contributes tot he mission of the Office of Indian Education (BIE) by acting as front-line education (ELO) for CA / NV Education Line Office. The front-line officer is responsible for educational leadership, direction of the line, management, administration, supervision and operational efficiency and effectiveness of education programs. The incumbent plans, develops and implements action plans of the program in line with efforts to provide educational services for maximum and optimum Indian students focusing on improving the performance of university students.
Applicants not entitled to Indian preference must be given preference for veterans, or be federal civilian employees with competitive status or former federal civilian employees with reinstatement eligibility and must submit a DD-214 or the last SF- 50B, as proof.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of a degree, supplemented by vocational or experience of staff in primary / secondary, which has demonstrated a thorough understanding of the functioning of educational programs for elementary / secondary and completion of at least one semester or equivalent course work at the university level in educational administration or management of the school, and / or curriculum develpment.
Salary: $87,586.00 - $134,547.00 /year
