As regional expert, the incumbent is responsible for providing all the electrical needs of engineering support related to the operation safe and reliable system protection relays from 69 kV to 500 kV. Maintenance Engineering serves the main point of contact for all issues relating to critical infrastructure protection (CIP) and the applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation / Western Electricity Coordinating Council (NERC / WECC) reliability standards.
If you are qualifying based on experience, you must have served at least one year working in a job that required specialized experience. This experience must be at least equivalent to GS-12 level. Specialized experience includes: power protection system (up to 500kV) and arc flash protection (600V and below). Experience in the implementation of NERC, WECC and CIP reliability standards relating to maintenance activities in the electricity industry.
Salary: $87,586.00 - $113,860.00 /year
