Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Thermo Fisher Scientific

The Director, FP & A is a key member of the company Financial planning and analysis group that provides financial analysis to executive management of the company, partners with operating divisions to provide total analysis of company, and manages the total budget cost of the entrepreneurial society.

Key Responsibilities:
The position will have a direct and work closely with peers in the group to manage / support the following:
Prepare analysis of total company to support the quarterly earnings call.
This includes the analysis of income (by geography, industry, segment, blend, etc.), analysis of margins, EPS and revenue forecasts and insightful analysis to further explain the performance of companies in total for internal and external communications
Provide an analysis of investor relations presentations, Board meetings, and other ad hoc analysis for the management team of the company
Partner with operating divisions to develop and update models for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reviews and business updates
Manage business expenses of the company total, including the monthly monitoring and forecasting, and annual budget (annual operating plan) process
Manage ad hoc projects to provide support to the need for financial analysis

Requirements / Skills:
Ability to concisely summarize the results of financial analysis and explain the significance of the results' / implications in various levels of detail (depending on audience)
Prompt, consideration and dynamic development of financial analysis appropriate in light of the circumstances and information needs Ability to quickly develop professional relationships across many divisions, functions and levels of the company
High degree of professionalism to interact effectively at the highest level in the organization
A rigorous attention to detail and intensity around always deliver high quality work product Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Strong modeling and Excel database skills
Knowledge of Hyperion System 9 more
