The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, and related issues based on sound public policy, the best available science and efficient management. This position is located within the USDA, Departmental Management (DM, Office of Human Resource Management (HRM), USDA Virtual University (VU). The incumbent serves as Chief Human Resources Specialist for the USDA and is responsible for providing leadership and coordination in the creation, management and evaluation of the training of the USDA and development.
Qualified candidates for the GS-14, must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to next lower grade level (GS-13) in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, which is in or in connection with the work of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience in the service as a team member to develop, implement and evaluate staff development and training programs; experience as a team member in the development, delivery and evaluation of programs distance learning experience as a team member to advise or guide managers in training and development experience working with small groups or public speaking, work experience in teams, and experience in project planning, monitoring and evaluation.
Formulate and recommend policies, plans and procedures to accomplish the Department's programs of the Executive Development. These programs include the Senior Executive Service (SES) Candidate Development Program (CDP), training and further development of certified candidates, training and development programs for members of the SSE and the Virtual University USDA USDA program executive coaching.
Salary: $105,211.00 - $136,771.00 /year
