Program Associate (Pre-Kindergarten)-Department Of The Army

About the position: 

Set up an active participation of parents and encourage parent communication, observation and participation. Organizes conferences parents to discuss children's progress. Creates an efficient and inviting learning through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards and learning stations. Performs early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS) and uses the results to improve the program. Works with the liaison with schools and education authorities to ensure a smooth transition and successful in kindergarten, program assistants to coordinate before and after the pre-kindergarten program and trainers, managers and other staff from pre-kindergarten to develop goals, objectives, and lesson plans following the plan the annual program. Serves as a member of the team of Garrison CYS services improved faster than necessary for the assigned area is in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements leading to DoD certification and national accreditation.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

hitting the target in the requirements and satisfactory performance. - Have eight (18) months of experience working in a group program with children and / or youth. - Possess and maintain a Child Development Associate (CDA) or military school age Credential. OR Meet-entry threshold. - Must have twelve (12) months of experience working in a group program with children and / or youth. - Must have AA with a major emphasis in early childhood education or child development. WHERE? Meet entry threshold. - Must have BA / BS degree with a major emphasis in early childhood education, primary education, child development, home economics, special education or related behavioral sciences. Work experience as a child lead and Youth Program Assistant, Children and Youth Program Technician, or the child and Youth Program Assistant (Target Level - 4) is highly recommended. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated as related to the qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities required for this job. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, walk, bend and bend and stand on a regular basis. Duties may involve working both inside and outside.
