The Ministry of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) is seeking candidates for a manager to full-time program of dialogue and awareness of the position. The successful candidate will work with the center of contemporary conflicts (CCC) in the Department of National Security Affairs (NSA) under the direction of the Director of the Centre and to support faculty members and staff.
CCC manages research projects for the Ministry of National Security Affairs. CCC manages the background and expertise to develop, implement and coordinate the strategic dialogue between members of the academic community and policy in the United States and other countries that are involved in the fight against WMD / WME, counter proliferation, promoting arms control and disarmament, and commit other issues critical to U.S. national security. In doing so, he works in partnership with U.S. government agencies and foreign institutions of the United States, such as think tanks and universities and academics and other experts. The CCC report its findings through briefings, reports, publications and new media.
The CCC provides research and program guidance and administrative support for institutions outside the NPS faculty and / REC, which have received funding research and providing education outreach. It is designed to provide cutting-edge research and support over 50 research projects, including 10-20 strategic dialogue and education outreach programs, which serve as a bridge between the academic and political circles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates will hold a competitive control relevant to the social sciences or business administration, familiarity with the administration of research projects and significant experience in program management. Program Management certification is desired but not required. Important government or an event management service is desired. Strong Microsoft Office skills, acute attention to detail, highly developed skills in oral and written communication, time management and proven leadership, planning and budgetary experience is required.
Salary: $65,500.00 - $85,500.00 /year
