The University of Adelaide has an international reputation for the quality of its research and education. 

The newly created discipline of acute care medicine brings together expertise in the specialties of anesthesia, critical care and emergency medicine, both within the university and major teaching hospitals in the Health Service Adelaide School Medicine seeks to appoint an outstanding individual to the post of professor or associate professor and senior consultant in the discipline of acute care medicine. 

Working with one or more of these hospitals, you will provide leadership in teaching and research, and participate in the provision of high-level clinic.

The successful candidate will have acquired a high-level experience in a specialty practice in acute care clinics, demonstrated the ability to contribute in strategic planning and leadership experience in funded research, research background in a specific area and evidence of capacity for research training. 

For appointment as a professor, you should have demonstrated their ability to contribute in strategic planning and leadership in one or more acute care specialties, evidence of successful administrative capacity and leadership, and a Ph . D., MD or equivalent education, research.
