This position is located in the Small Business Administration, New Mexico District Office, Business Development Division, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Seeking a motivated and dynamic talent to join their business development team. You will be responsible for marketing and monitoring of SBA programs and services to a wide range of individuals and organizations, in particular 8 (a), HUBZone and other special programs federal contracting. Use your communication skills ideal for working closely with SBA resource partners to develop and coordinate programs for diverse audiences. Serve as point of contact within the district for the 8 (a) Business Development Program, which assists socially and economically disadvantaged businesses to obtain federal contracts. As such, make sure that these business owners are aware of the various programs and requirements for this program. In addition, you will ensure the district office maintains a portfolio of 8 (a) firms in accordance with the standards of the SBA, help companies eligible to complete 8 (a) applications, recommend matches of 8 (a) the potential contract with 8 (a) companies, and conduct annual reviews of these companies. Serve as point of contact for the HUBZone, women owned small businesses and other federal programs to contract special guarantee companies are aware of the programs and requirements.
Responsible for working with the business community in the jurisdiction of the district office, to find new groups, organizations, associations and other coalitions whose members are eligible for participation in the programs of the SBA or the use of its members and to coordinate the presentation of their membership in regular or specially convened meetings. Maintain relationships with the delivery of newsletters, personal phone calls, site visits and participation in activities sponsored by organizations. You will participate in the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies for business development to expand the scope of SBA. Represent the organization at public functions such as trade fairs, specialized business associations, annual conventions or functions by invitation. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with financial institutions and loans to support the small business community.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 level of quality such as planning, organizing and reviewing work, reviewing applications to ensure they meet contract requirements the 8 (a) approval of the program and the determination of applications for the program, helping match contractors with projects appropriate federal agency, monitor the performance of participating companies, conduct annual reviews and providing advice to company in terms of program participation, and experience of independent research, plan and coordinate marketing programs for small businesses and prospective small business owners.
Salary: $81,823.00 - $106,369.00 /year
