Residential Service Officer Hillside Resource Centre

Employment goal to help residents to participate in a variety of acitivities of daily life and social care needs assessment and capacity of individual clients and providing care where appropriate, act as key worker and help the personal hygiene of residents / service users.

Key results areas of service delivery 1.0 - Inform manager of any vital issue affecting the well-being of residents / day care users, including the implementation of appropriate records and reports. - To actively encourage residents according to their capacity to participate in all aspects of daily life inside and outside the home. - Act as key worker for a number of residents / day care users. - Assess needs and capacities of residents / customers. - In collaboration with residents, managers and where parents and other family caregivers, prepare individual care plans for residents of key / day care users. - Implement and regularly review these care plans as needed. - Give each user a high level of resident care, which comes with a sensitivity and takes account of each individuals emotional and physical needs. To achieve a maximum possible independence. - Prepare simple foods and drinks for residents as appropriate. - To serve meals and feed residents where necessary and clear tables. - You will be asked to administer medication.

2.0 Light housework - To Make beds and linen change if residents needed. - For machine lock and contaminated clothing. To wash linen and personal clothing or send clothes if necessary. Maintain linen and personal clothing in the correct order, including sewing and ironing. - Keep resident rooms and furniture in order, including en-suites. Help keep the house clean. 3.0 Users of the Service of Transport - To drive clients / residents safely to and from the Resource Centre, using the departmental vehicle. - To escort / supervise clients / residents during the journey between home and the Resource Centre. - To receive and transmit messages to their loved ones and caregivers regarding medication or personal care to others accurately. 4.0 Personal contribution - to be engaged in personal development and training as requested. - To attend and participate in staff meetings. - To assist with social activities and outings.


Salary: £15,039 - £18,453

Location : Newport
