Senior Director, Nutrition and Food Security

The principal responsible for the development and overall management of nutrition and Counterpart International Practice Area food security. The incumbent must have substantial experience in managing financial and programmatic aspects of development programs financed by USAID, in particular food for peace, the head of a growing and profitable practice, and develop and maintain exceptional relationships with clients and external partners. The Principal is responsible for the growing practice of matching in the field of nutrition and food security. He / she is responsible for the efforts of the practice of strategy development, marketing, the achievement of business development, to deliver a high quality product and timely manner to customers, and develop and lead a team competent and motivated.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The duties and responsibilities of senior director of nutrition and food security are: Improve the reputation of Counterpart offering exceptional quality of the program. Design and implement a practical strategy, operational plan and annual budget. New business and achieve annual revenue targets. Develop and maintain professional relationships with donors, partners, industry experts, etc. To ensure full compliance with the practice of U.S. government regulations, and organizational policies and procedures. Build, mentor, manage and motivate a competent and motivated team at Headquarters and in the field. Ensure active participation of practice management knowledge exchange, communication and recruitment initiatives. Actively encourage and support the practice of cross-collaboration and project design and implementation. Managerial or technical tasks as requested by his / her supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
At least 10 years of experience in nutrition and / or food security-related programming at least 2 years management P & L units, including the development and management of teams, plans work, and budgets of at least 4 years of experience in program and financial management of large complex projects funded by USAID, Food for Peace specific projects funded by the apparent success in designing, writing and food to gain peace proposals proven success in building and maintaining a portfolio of programs extensive professional network among partners, donors and consultants in the food and nutrition security zones strong familiarity with USAID and other agencies government, with food reputation for exceptional skills of Peace in the selection, supervision and management capacity of the team motivated to foster collaboration between the organization and demonstrated collaborative approach with peers Exceptional written and verbal skills Masters degree in nutrition or a related field Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time of foreign language skills an asset, in the comfort French, Spanish and Arabic especially with MS Office and communication technologies Remote
