Womenswear Technical Manager – Maternity cover

Reports to the Director Buy We are looking for an experienced and dynamic manager to manage a technical team of 12 technologists womenswear while our head of technology is on maternity leave. The technical team at ASOS are a key component of our continued success. They help speed controller on the market and ensure that products not only look great but fit well and are a fantastic value for money. The team is currently working on business strategies: • Comparative analysis of our ranges constantly to achieve the best longevity of design, construction and products on the market. • The development of our supply base in strategic partnerships. • Ensure buy is ethically produced from own factories in accordance with the Code of Conduct ETI. • Troubleshooting customer returned to lower the potential loss of sales.

The detail work • Technical Director, you will be responsible for a team of 12 and your main responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Cover the head of technical services on existing strategies of the department. • Oversee the daily operations of the department. • Create and deployment projects for strategic womenswear specifically further develop the brand ASOS. • Train, supervise and manage all planning effectively for the future of the department and the company • Work with Design & buy Womenswear heads of area action plan development within the range of products own buy • To support and contribute to the strategy of supplier ASOS

Some key skills that you need ... • Extensive knowledge womenswear multiple product categories • experience working for a high street retailer • An understanding of fashion retail as a business. • Experience in managing a large team of people while being able to identify problem areas within the team and make a successful outcome. • To be able to coach, drive and lead a high performing team. • Good, clear and effective verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast and have exceptional organizational skills.
