Playscheme Supervisor

Are you enthusiastic, organized and interested in working with children and young people? We are currently looking to appoint a number of Playscheme Supervisors to join our team of game development, to help us offer a wide variety of playschemes throughout Newport during the summer holidays. These include outreach and playschemes for children with disabilities. We recognize the importance and value of play in child development and their innate desire to seek opportunities in their play and learning. As a supervisor you will be working as part of a team to provide opportunities for all children to explore themselves and the communities they live in. This involves activities both inside and outside, so you should be willing to work with natural elements, is messy and generally ensure that children play. In addition to this, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day general organization is completed to the required standard.

Playschemes operate on an 'open access' basis which allows children to choose when and how long they remain in the play setting. As a supervisor, you wnsure team are involved in the planning and delivery of a program to give children the incentive to stay and play and be able to recognize when the activities and environment play has to change . The playschemes operating in various sectors of Newport during the summer. You must be fully available from Monday, July 25 to Friday 25 August. Candidates are only available for part of this period will not be considered.
