We extend Yahoo Mail with JavaScript API that developers use to make cool new features to our millions of users. The ideal candidate loves traditional API, including the complexity of Web 2.0 and has a production scale. The magnitude of the problem requires attention to detail and keeping things simple and elegant.

Responsibilities:

Design features and implementation of the major API Mail Application work in a team high-performance front end and back end engineers collaborate with engineering teams and other products in the delivery of functionality high quality on time

Minimum professional qualifications:

BS / MS in CS or equivalent 5 or more years of experience in commercial software development using PHP, JavaScript, C + + or Java and JavaScript Excellent cross-browser knowledge capacity to break down complex problems into simpler components comfortable in a UNIX-style development (Perl, shell scripts, make files) Strong verbal written communication skills qualifications preferred: API craft experience Excellent understanding of distributed systems experience leading a project or team, believing the continuous integration experience in internationalization and localization
