Head Nurse - UN Secretariat

Medical administrative duties: Assist the medical director and senior officers following Medical Political Rights and procedures concerning medical certificates, medical emergencies, plans for business continuity, crisis management and preparedness medical injuries Work / diseases and medico-legal issues. Evaluates, identifies and recommends the purchase of medical supplies and nursing equipment. Monitoring functions: Manages, supervises and evaluates the performance of nurses. Competencies Professionalism: Knowledge of clinical nursing, business and travel in an international environment. Formal training in CPR and, preferably, in BCLS and ACLS or equivalent medical emergency care. Knowledge of office equipment and major medical ability to use them in emergencies. Knowledge of basic diagnostic equipment and the ability to use them, including experience in the use of electronic medical records systems. Education Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in nursing. A university undergraduate supplemented by relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. National Registration and licensing are required. Work Experience At least five years of progressively responsible experience in nursing. Experience in nursing and experience in the management of budgetary allocations are needed. Languages ​​Fluency in English (oral and written) is required, knowledge of French is desirable.
