Mechanical Engineer

Vax is looking for an innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our cutting edge R&D department.

As part of the R&D team you will be assisting in the creation of new technologies and theories. These revolutionary concepts and designs will drive forward our reputation as a market leader in new technology. Key involvement in the development and research of new technologies is both exciting and challenging. At Vax we have all of our functions under one roof, including our New Product Development team; this advantage means you will be able to collaborate with other departments to gain information and achieve results from inception of a project to delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering; you will either have just graduated with a good degree or had some relevant work experience in Research and Development. You will be able to demonstrate excellent practical, analytical and problem solving skills. Ideally you will also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of specialist software and CAD skills are desirable, along with experience of doing detailed analysis of prototype models. You will also have a working knowledge and understanding of fundamental physical theories and general engineering principles.
