The Small Business Administration (SBA) is seeking a dynamic, high energy, and exceptional business leader to serve as District Director in the Office of Field Operation, Los Angeles District Office. The Office of Field Operations is responsible for facilitating and advocating on behalf of both the District and Headquarters Offices, communicating assignments and/or policy to the field, and providing education related to managerial and programmatic activities. The Los Angeles District Office is responsible for the delivery of SBA's many programs and services located within the jurisdiction of the District Office.
As the District Director, you will direct and manage all SBA programs and activities located within the jurisdiction of the District Office.

Occasional travel may be required. Relocation expenses will not be authorized.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic planning, innovative marketing, entrepreneurial ventures, and outreach programs.
As the District Director for the Los Angeles District Office, you will serve as SBA's senior district representative to the small business community in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
You will oversee and administer broad, emerging, and/or critical agency programs or operations and evaluate the overall effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of these programs and operations.
You will direct and manage a myriad of dynamic SBA programs and activities to serve the small business community located within in the downstate Los Angeles area.
You will provide executive leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing and outreach plans.
You will establish and maintain positive relationships with key field and headquarter officials, local representatives, the media, and high level officials both in the public and private sector.
You will ensure practical use of technology and its applications.
You will plan, direct, and implement all SBA programs and activities assigned to the office. You will also manage internal administrative operations.
As a basic requirement, you must clearly describe leadership experiences that demonstrate executive level managerial capability. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level or its equivalent. In addition, you should have a broad range of experience in managing programs, including responsibility for policy and strategic planning associated with such programs.
Salary: $119,554.00 - $179,700.00 /year
