Payroll Supervisor at Bright Horizons

The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and administration of payroll tax filings. Provide guidance to members of the payroll department in the areas of payroll taxes and other compliance matters. Support payroll manager in overseeing the payroll department, payroll processing, auditing, quality control and projects as assigned. Process corporate payroll and ensures that the department provides support and excellent customer service to company field operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the workload and supporting the payroll team while also maintaining a high level of customer service
Process Corporate Payroll
Perform state and local tax audits on a regular payroll basis
Research and resolve any issues related to payroll processing and payroll tax
Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and serve as backup to payroll manager
Assist both Payroll Manager and HRIS Compliance Manager with quarter and year end tax reconciliation and W-2C’s as required
Address special reporting requirements, such as requests from other departments, auditors, etc.
Requirements:
The position requires 4+ years of prior payroll processing and payroll supervision. Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred, CPP required. Experience with a multi-state, multi-site payroll and knowledge of various state and local payroll taxes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast pace, high volume environment. Organized and detail orientated. Ability to provide world class customer service to all areas of company.
Experience with Ultimate Software (UltiPro) a plus, but not required. Knowledge of Cognos 8 a plus, but not required. Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills required.
